Laser Therapy
Or Low Intensity Laser Therapy, the Bioflex System utilizes superluminous and laser diodes of specific wavelengths and power output up to 2,000 mW to irradiate abnormal tissue with photons. These particles of energy are absorbed by a variety of intracellular molecules, a process which initiates a number of positive physiological responses. In essence, light energy is converted into biochemical energy, facilitating the restoration of normal cell morphology and function (the light is absorbed energizes the tissue to heal itself ). The result of this process is designed to be curative with regard to clinical pathologies, rather than modulating symptoms, the conventional approach utilized in the management of pain.

Rehabilitation
When the body is injured, the ligaments, muscles, and tendons become
weak. Without the strength of these supportive elements you would
collapse like a rag doll. By the time many patients seek professional
help; fibrotic scar tissue has changed the elasticity and strength
of supporting muscles.
A program of carefully designed stretches and exercises helps restore
better tone to these damaged tissues. Exercise therapy is an important
part of this process. We use a set of repetitive stretching or
strengthening maneuvers designed to develop weakened or injured
muscle groups. Through this therapy, you can increase your range
of motion, strengthen spinal structure, retrain damaged muscles,
speed rehabilitation and help adjustments hold.
Physical Medicine
Interferential Electro-Therapy:
Electrical impulses induced into the tissues in the vicinity
of the injury. A low frequency stimulation is created which prompts
the body to secrete natural pain killers to help relieve pain.
Electro-Muscle Stimulation:
It is a special form of electrical current that is administered
at the site of soft tissue injury, especially muscles, for the
blocking of pain. Small amounts of electrical current are induced
into the tissues for the purpose of reducing swelling. This technique
safely strengthens muscles and helps reduce painful symptoms.
Ultrasound:
Therapeutic treatment using high frequency sound waves administered
in the region of soft tissue injuries. Sound vibrations penetrate
the tissues deep in the body, creating a heat response. These
vibrations and heat help break down and disperse unhealthy calcium
and other hard tissue accumulations.
Trigger Point Therapy:
A trigger point is an area of uncontrolled muscle tightness causing
tenderness which interferes with normal muscle function. This
restricts normal range of motion, weakens the muscle, and may
refer pain to other parts of the body.
Massage
Massage works by kneading and stroking muscles to relax them, and uses
friction to stimulate soft tissues. This therapy can increase blood and
lymph circulation while breaking up scar tissue between muscle fibers.
Massage enhances joint and muscle function, improves circulation, increases
metabolism, and promotes the healing process. Our trained therapists
incorporate this type of therapy to increase the rate of success of the
treatment plan.
Massage is useful in many conditions in which body relaxation, the reduction
of swelling, and muscle mobilization is desired. Massage can also be
helpful in overcoming the swelling and pooling of fluids at the site
of recent injury or trauma.
Maintenance Care
This is the final stage of treatment and is designed to maintain
improved health and spinal function and to prevent the original
condition from returning.
Maintenance care is sometimes needed to maintain the progress
that has been made in treating your condition. We are not only
concerned about keeping you out of pain, but are equally concerned
with maintaining the improvements that have been achieved.
Many of the conditions we treat have developed over years or
even over a lifetime. Therefore, it would be unrealistic to think
these problems could be eliminated in just a few short weeks
or even months. Treating chronic, degenerative conditions like
subluxations takes time.
